Boston police arrest three for drug trafficking

BOSTON — Members of the Drug Control Units assigned to District E-5 (Roslindale/West Roxbury), District D-4 (South End), and District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) arrested three suspects on drug trafficking charges at about 10:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 20.

The suspects, identified as Jansel Castillo, 24, of Roslindale, Luimi Mejia German, 24, of Dorchester, and Juan Mota, 24, of Jamaica Plain, were apprehended following an ongoing drug investigation and the execution of search warrants in the area of 4347 Washington St.

During the search, officers recovered 83 grams of fentanyl, $383 in U.S. currency, and drug paraphernalia including plastic bags, a digital scale, and various cutting agents.

All three suspects were charged with trafficking of Class A substances and possession with intent to distribute Class A substances.

Castillo and Mota were additionally charged with distribution of Class A substances.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.
