WALDEN — Two vehicles collided at the intersection of VT Route 15 and VT Route 215 on June 19, with no injuries reported to either driver involved.
The Vermont State Police St Johnsbury Barracks responded to the incident at approximately 9:35 a.m. after receiving notification of the crash.
The accident occurred under clear weather conditions and on dry roads.
According to the initial investigation, Richard Chase, 76, of Marshfield, was driving his 2023 Kia Sorrento west on VT Route 15.
As he attempted a left-hand turn onto VT Route 215, he collided with a 2024 Toyota Crown operated by Nadya Drum, 38, of Walden, who was traveling east on VT Route 15.
The impact resulted in contact damage to the driver’s side front bumper of Chase’s vehicle and to the driver’s side of Drum’s car.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision, and neither driver was injured.
Authorities confirmed that no hospitalization was necessary for either party.
The Vermont State Police were assisted at the scene by the Walden Fire Department.
The incident caused temporary disruptions in the area while emergency crews worked on the scene.
The Vermont State Police are conducting a further investigation into the cause of the crash.
