NORTH HAVEN — North Haven Police responded to a disturbance at a local movie theater on Universal Drive last night after moviegoers reported seeing an individual with what appeared to be a handgun.
According to the police report, the incident occurred during the evening of June 19 when patrons alerted theater staff to a man with a firearm concealed in his waistband.
Staff members confirmed seeing a red and black handgun and overheard conversations about the presence of a firearm among the individual’s group.
The North Haven Police Department’s investigation resulted in the arrest of a juvenile male who was found in possession of a replica Glock.
The image of the replica firearm was released to the public.
Authorities issued the juvenile a summons at the scene for breach of peace and carrying a facsimile firearm.
Following the arrest, he was released into the custody of his father.
The North Haven Police Department has not released further details about the juvenile due to privacy laws concerning minors.
