Rhode Island man arrested on shoplifting warrant after traffic stop

WEST WARWICK — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a 55-year-old man on a shoplifting warrant Wednesday afternoon.

Breck T. Tully of West Warwick was taken into custody around 2:17 p.m. after being stopped by state troopers on East Greenwich Avenue, according to the Rhode Island State Police.

The arrest was based on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Shoplifting originating from the North Kingstown Police Department.

Following the stop, Tully was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks where he was processed.

After the processing, Tully was turned over to the North Kingstown Police Department.

Further details surrounding the shoplifting incident that led to the warrant were not immediately available.
