EAST GREENWICH — Troopers arrested a Foster man late Saturday evening after reports of erratic driving led to a traffic stop on Route 95.
Nicholas Borges, 35, of 15 Mount Hygeia Road, was taken into custody at 8 p.m. and faces charges of reckless driving and possession of a controlled substance, specifically less than 10 grams of Oxycodone, which falls under Schedule I-V, according to the Rhode Island State Police.
The arrest ensued following a call to authorities about an erratic operator, which subsequently led to Borges’ vehicle being stopped.
After the arrest, Borges was transported to Kent County Hospital and then misdemeanor released while pending a future court date at the Third Division District Court.
