BRATTLEBORO — A routine traffic stop on Canal Street led to the arrest of a local man for possession of stolen property and driving with a criminally suspended license, Vermont State Police reported.
At 10:45 a.m. on June 15, a state trooper initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle violation.
The driver, identified as John Mudge Jr., 45, of Brattleboro, was found to be operating the vehicle despite a suspended license.
Further investigation revealed that Mudge was also in possession of stolen property.
Mudge was taken into custody and processed at the Westminster Barracks.
Following his arrest, he was released with a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division on July 30 at 8:30 a.m.
