LONDONDERRY — A report from a vigilant citizen early on June 14 led to the arrest of a Massachusetts teen for loitering, resisting arrest, and possession of burglary tools.
At approximately 5:15 a.m., Londonderry Police Department received a call about four male individuals dressed in black and wearing ski masks near 220 Rockingham Road, a location known for its commercial businesses.
Officers from the midnight shift responded promptly to the scene.
Officer Burt encountered one of the suspects, later identified as Nelshon Pires, 19, of Brockton, in the woods behind a business at 226 Rockingham Road.
Pires failed to obey Officer Burt’s commands and attempted to flee on foot.
Following a brief chase, he was apprehended.
Upon arrest, Pires was found in possession of various tools and vehicle key fobs.
Charged with Loitering/Prowling, Resisting Arrest or Detention, and Possession of Burglary Tools, Pires was released on Personal Recognizance Bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on July 16 at 8:15 a.m.
The whereabouts of the other three individuals remain unknown, and the investigation continues.
