Worcester police probe shooting on Vernon Street

WORCESTER — On June 13, at about 4:30 p.m., Worcester Police officers responded to a reported shooting on Vernon St, where they found a 24-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm.

The victim received immediate medical attention from the officers at the scene and was subsequently transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

His condition is currently unknown.

The Worcester Police Department’s initial investigation suggests that the incident occurred during a meeting that both parties had agreed upon, indicating that the shooting was not a random act.

Detectives are actively investigating the case and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
