Three arrested in separate incidents by Rhode Island Troopers

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Troopers conducted a series of arrests Monday, taking into custody individuals on various charges ranging from drug offenses to domestic assault.

At 12:23 p.m., Troopers apprehended Roderick Baptiste, age 29, of Middletown, Rhode Island, on active warrants for failing to appear in court.

Baptiste was stopped on Orms Street in Providence and was wanted for not appearing as a violator on a charge of intent to deliver a controlled substance, and for failing to appear for a restitution payment related to a charge of domestic assault by strangulation.

He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later taken to Providence Superior Court for arraignment.

Shortly after, at 1:12 p.m., Troopers arrested Allan Reichard Caraballo, age 59, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Caraballo faced charges of domestic disorderly conduct, simple assault, and resisting arrest following a disturbance at the Division of Motor Vehicles in Cranston.

Assisting Capitol Police, Trooper Gallop took Caraballo into custody, and he was processed and arraigned by the Justice of the Peace at the Lincoln Woods Barracks.

He was released pending a future court date in the Third District Court.

The day’s arrests continued when, at 1:52 p.m., Thomas Garner, age 24, of Providence, Rhode Island, was arrested on multiple warrants, including an affidavit and arrest warrant for domestic simple assault and battery, another for domestic malicious damage to property, and for obstructing an officer in execution of duty.

Garner’s arrest followed a traffic stop on Goddard Street in Providence.

He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and handed over to Providence Police Department.

The Rhode Island State Police remain vigilant in upholding the law and ensuring the safety and security of the community.

Each of the arrested individuals awaits further legal proceedings.
