COLCHESTER — A St. Albans man was arrested on Interstate 89 after a traffic stop led to the discovery of multiple violations of his conditions of release, Vermont State Police reported.

Rykeem Allen, 31, was pulled over by a state trooper from the Williston Barracks for speeding near Exit 17 around 3:23 p.m. on June 13.

During the stop, it was found that Allen was driving with a suspended license and was not adhering to several court-ordered conditions of release.

These conditions were set following previous charges against Allen, which included Aggravated Assault with a Weapon and Simple Assault.

The traffic stop revealed that Allen was in violation of these conditions.

After his arrest, Allen was processed at the Williston Barracks.

He is scheduled to appear at the Franklin County Superior Court on June 14 at 10 a.m. to face three counts of Violation of Conditions of Release.

Unable to post the required $1,200 bail, Allen was taken to the Northwest State Correctional Facility.

The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the incident at this time.
