Waltham police seek suspect in package theft, make narcotics arrest

WALTHAM — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a package theft on River St. on June 11.

According to the Waltham Police Department, the male suspect appears to be tall, heavyset, with dark-colored skin, a dark beard, and was last seen wearing sunglasses, a tan Marvel hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants, and crocs.

He was also driving a blue Honda.

In a separate incident on the same day, around 5 p.m., Waltham PD detectives and members of the Suburban Middlesex County Drug Task Force executed search warrants at 881 Moody Street as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

A 34-year-old Boston man was arrested at the scene.

A search led to the seizure of numerous glassine bags containing substances believed to be cocaine.

The police limited who could comment on their social media post regarding the incident.

Additionally, the Waltham Police Department announced their presence at the Waltham Lions Club carnival at 1601 Trapelo Road to ensure a safe environment for attendees.
