WILLIAMSTOWN — A 57-year-old S. Royalton resident, Conan McDonough, is facing multiple charges including his fourth DUI after crashing his motorcycle on VT Route 64 on June 12.
Vermont State Police reported that at 7:03 p.m., they responded to an incident involving a 2003 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200.
McDonough was attempting an unsafe pass when he lost control of his motorcycle, leading to the crash.
The weather was clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.
It was not indicated whether McDonough was wearing a seatbelt, a detail that is typically irrelevant in motorcycle crash reports.
McDonough sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center.
During the subsequent investigation, officers determined that he was operating the vehicle under the influence of intoxicants and with a criminally suspended license.
The motorcycle sustained damage in the crash, and McDonough was processed at the hospital before being issued a citation for DUI number four, driving with a license suspended for previous violations (DLS), and negligent operation of the vehicle.
