Three arrested in connection with 2023 Bridgeport lounge shooting

BRIDGEPORT — Police have made three arrests related to the shooting at “In the City” Lounge that occurred on Sept. 10, with the most recent suspect surrendering to authorities earlier this month.

On June 11, Tyquwane Gilchrist turned himself in at Bridgeport Police Headquarters on an outstanding warrant for his alleged role in the shooting at the lounge located at 196 Fairfield Avenue.

Gilchrist faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Pistol/Revolver and is being held on a $200,000 bond.

Following his surrender, he was arraigned at Bridgeport Superior Court.

Gilchrist himself was a victim of gun violence, having been shot on Orchard Street on April 27.

Earlier, on May 23, Micherlens Thelemaque, 28, known as Mike T, was served with a warrant charging him with Assault in the 3rd Degree and Breach of Peace in the 2nd Degree for his involvement in the same incident.

Thelemaque, who was arraigned the same day, was also injured during the lounge shooting, along with a 23-year-old woman who was an innocent bystander.

Additionally, on May 15, police served a warrant to Rajonne Blake, 24, charging him with Criminal Attempt – Assault in the 2nd Degree, with the court setting his bond at $40,000.

Blake had also been a victim of a shooting that took place on Park Avenue on Nov. 6, 2023.
