Richford woman arrested for aggravated assault, larceny

RICHFORD — Vermont State Police apprehended 25-year-old Kristen Yerry on charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and petit larceny after an incident that occurred on the evening of June 9.

Authorities were called to a residence near the intersection of Golf Course Road and Richard Street at 6:28 p.m. following a 911 call reporting a theft.

According to witnesses, Yerry aimed a firearm at Adam Blaney, 50, and his 13-year-old child after Blaney attempted to confront the suspect.

Yerry subsequently fled the scene.

With support from the US Border Patrol, police located Yerry in a wooded area as she tried to access an ATV at a nearby property.

Yerry, a Richford resident, was arrested without incident.

Investigation revealed that Yerry had two active warrants for previous theft-related charges.

She was lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Facility on $1,000 bail.

Yerry is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on June 10 at 1 p.m. to face the charges stemming from this latest incident.
