SPRINGFIELD — Springfield police arrested a local man on charges of a second DUI offense and driving with a criminally suspended license after a traffic stop late Tuesday night.
According to a Springfield Police Department press release, at approximately 10:53 p.m. on April 9, Officer Freeman observed a motor vehicle violation on River Street.
Freeman conducted a stop and identified the driver as Cyrus Salo.
A check revealed Salo’s Vermont driving privileges were under criminal suspension.
During the stop, Salo exhibited “numerous indicators of impairment,” according to the release.
He was arrested and taken to the police department for processing.
At the station, Salo underwent Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and a Preliminary Breath Test.
The results led officers to believe Salo was impaired.
He was subsequently issued a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on July 23 at 8 a.m. to face charges for his second DUI and Criminal DLS.
