MARLOW — A man wanted by New Hampshire State Police was found deceased Sunday in a wooded area near his home.

State Troopers from the Troop C barracks initially responded to a call on Route 10 in Marlow on Saturday, May 25.

There, they identified Brian Roffer, 44, as a suspect in a case involving criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.

Authorities, believing Roffer might be armed and in a densely forested region by himself, took steps to protect the safety of the reported victims.

Search and arrest warrants were issued for Roffer.

Despite extensive efforts to find him, the search was suspended after proving unsuccessful.

The following day, on May 26, Troopers discovered Roffer’s body in the woods behind his residence.

The medical examiner concluded that Roffer had died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to officials, no other injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
