NEW SWEDEN — The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after significant vandalism was discovered at a former school building in New Sweden, with damages estimated at around $10,000.
Authorities believe the property damage occurred over the past two months, but details about the nature of the vandalism have not been released.
The Sheriff’s Office is now calling for the community’s assistance to track down the individuals responsible.
The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information to come forward and contact them directly at 1-800-432-7842.
In an effort to encourage community members to provide leads, officials have highlighted the option to report tips anonymously.
Aroostook County Crimestoppers is also accepting anonymous tips, and informants may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest.
