MONTPELIER — A local man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and negligent operation of a vehicle after Vermont State Police troopers responded to reports of erratic driving on US RT 2.
Corey Raymond, 55, of Sheffield, was taken into custody on May 26 following a traffic stop conducted by VSP Berlin Troopers.
Authorities had been on the lookout for the vehicle after receiving a Be On Lookout alert earlier that afternoon.
The incident occurred around 4:32 p.m. when troopers located Raymond’s vehicle and observed it being driven erratically.
During the stop, officers noted signs of impairment and conducted field sobriety tests.
Following the tests, Raymond was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Raymond was processed at the Berlin Barracks and subsequently released with citations to appear in court to face the charges.
