NEW HAVEN — A 39-year-old man from Vergennes was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of drugs, violating court orders, and operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license after a traffic stop on US Route 7 on May 25.

Vermont State Troopers pulled over Nathan Redmond around 11:19 a.m. near the intersection with River Road.

During the interaction, officers noticed signs of impairment and upon further investigation, discovered that Redmond’s license was already criminally suspended.

Redmond, who was previously court-ordered to refrain from using regulated drugs without a prescription, underwent a sobriety test.

He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Vergennes Police Department for processing.

Following processing, Redmond was released with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, at a later date to face his third DUI charge along with additional charges for violating court orders and driving with a suspended license.
