PROVIDENCE — A series of arrests were made by Rhode Island State Police over the weekend, with charges ranging from driving with an expired license to robbery.
Early Friday, at 11:54 a.m., troopers apprehended Jordan Davis, 28, of Providence, on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court on an expired license charge.
The arrest followed a vehicle stop on Ascham Street.
Davis was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks before being handed over to the Third Division District Court.
Later that evening, at 9 p.m., Fabio Centeio Da Silveira, 24, also of Providence, was arrested on multiple charges including possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding police.
Centeio Da Silveira, who was already in custody at the Providence Police Department on separate charges, will be arraigned at the Sixth Division District Court.
On Saturday, just past midnight, Charles Smith, 18, was taken into custody on Opper Street in connection with a robbery and conspiracy warrant from the Providence Police Department.
Smith was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to local authorities.
In the early hours of Saturday, at 2:01 a.m., Michael Dipalma, 45, of Cranston, was arrested for driving under the influence and refusing a chemical test after being stopped on Branch Avenue.
Dipalma was processed, arraigned, and released to a responsible adult.
