NORTHBOROUGH — After receiving reports of suspicious activity, Northborough Police apprehended three Worcester men at Wegman’s on charges of shoplifting and drug possession.
The incident unfolded when Wegman’s loss prevention team notified authorities about a group of individuals who had previously stolen from the store and were on the premises once again.
During the incident, one man was observed slipping a bottle of alcohol down his pant leg.
Police responded promptly to the call, leading to the arrests on Thursday.
The men face various charges, including shoplifting and possession of a class B substance, identified as cocaine.
The suspects are scheduled for arraignment Friday morning at Westborough District Court.
