CRANSTON — A series of arrests have been made by the ACI Investigations Unit and other law enforcement task forces, resulting in multiple individuals facing charges from simple assault to first-degree robbery, officials said May 22.
Joe Baltas, 36, of Cranston, and Jeffrey Wilson, 67, also of Cranston, were both charged with possession of weapons other than firearms while incarcerated.
Nicholas Morra, 31, of Providence, and Alex Cote, 26, of Grafton, Massachusetts, were charged with simple assault/battery.
Tyler St. Pierre, 22, of Providence, faces charges as a fugitive from justice from Massachusetts.
All were arraigned in Third District Court with Baltas being held and the others released to the Sheriffs Department’s custody.
On the previous day, Kevin Perry, 37, of North Providence, and Reid Rawlinson, 23, of Westerly, were charged with domestic violence violations of no-contact orders.
Luis Jimenez, 45, of Providence, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
They were also arraigned and released to the Sheriffs Department.
Joseph Franklin, 35, of North Providence, faces multiple charges including possession with intent to deliver controlled substances and firearm offenses.
He was held without bail following his arraignment.
The Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force made two arrests on May 22.
Robin Saliba, 61, of Johnston, was charged with stalking and disorderly conduct.
Saliba’s bail was set at $5,000 personal recognizance.
Emilton Monteiro, 59, of Providence, faces charges of possession of child pornography with bail set at $5,000 with surety.
Kai Jackson, 45, of Central Falls, was arrested on various charges including possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and insurance fraud.
He was arraigned at Sixth Division District Court.
Additionally, Angel M. Serrano-Rios, 34, of Northbridge, Massachusetts, was apprehended on charges of first-degree robbery, burglary, kidnapping, and conspiracy in connection with a West Warwick Police Department warrant.
He was arraigned as a fugitive from justice.
