PROVIDENCE — A series of coordinated arrests by law enforcement agencies on May 21 led to multiple individuals being detained on various charges, including drug offenses, larceny, and failure to appear in court.
Nasir I. Dupont, 21, was apprehended by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force on a slew of warrants from both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
He faces charges ranging from larceny and simple assault to carrying a pistol without a license and possession of controlled substances.
After his arrest, Dupont was processed at the Wickford Barracks and handed over to the Providence Police Department.
Jeremiah Louis, 19, also fell into the hands of the task force on a warrant for failing to appear for a pre-trial conference on a simple assault charge.
Louis was processed likewise and taken to the Providence Police Department.
The day’s arrests continued with Patrick Morrison, 27, who was taken into custody by a combined effort of several units including the Intelligence Unit, the Auto Theft Unit, and federal agencies.
Morrison, from Cumberland, faces charges including possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of LSD, and firearm violations linked to drug offenses.
He was arraigned and held without bail at the Sixth Division District Court.
Additionally, Anthony Guglielmo, 29, was arrested on similar drug charges and held without bail as a Bail Violator.
Guglielmo, a resident of Seekonk, Massachusetts, was processed before being transported for arraignment at the same district court.
