SOUTHBRIDGE — A joint operation between the Southbridge Police Department and the Southern Worcester County Drug and Counter Crime Task Force led to the arrest of several individuals following the execution of a search warrant on Sunday.
The warrant, carried out at a third-floor apartment at 120 Marcy Street, was part of an extensive investigation into the local distribution of narcotics.
Detectives seized suspected crack cocaine prepped for sale, over $2,600 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales, two 9mm magazines — one with a 30-round capacity — and several possibly stolen dirt bikes.
Authorities arrested 23-year-old Isaac Colon-Miranda, a resident of the targeted apartment, on charges including possession with intent to distribute class B crack cocaine and receiving stolen property.
Also taken into custody from the same location were 21-year-old Raymond Rivera-Torres and 42-year-old Jose D.
Miranda on similar drug-related charges.
During the operation, a disorderly crowd formed, leading to additional arrests.
Jose Miranda Morales, 24, of the building’s first floor, was arrested, and a 22-year-old pregnant woman will face disorderly conduct charges in court.
All suspects were held at Southbridge Police Headquarters pending bail or arraignment at Dudley District Court.
