BOURNE — At approximately 9:58 p.m. on May 13, Bourne police officers responded to a report of an assault with a knife at Spirits N More on Clay Pond Road.
The victim was unharmed during the incident.
Investigators later determined that the assailant was also the suspect in the earlier felony theft of an e-bike.
Following the identification of the suspect, Bourne Police Department filed and obtained applications for arrest and search warrants.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident after exiting his home.
A search warrant executed at the residence led to the recovery of the stolen e-bike and additional evidence.
The successful outcome of the case was attributed to the collaborative efforts of the Bourne Police Department’s patrol and detective divisions, along with the support of the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council SWAT Team.
