BOSTON — At about 12:44 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Terrance Porter, 21, of Allston, on firearm charges.
Officers were on patrol in the area of Brinsley Street and Ronald Street when they observed a motor vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign.
Officers further observed the vehicle fail to stop again at a stop sign at Brinsley Street and Washington Street.
Officers activated their marked cruiser’s emergency lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop.
The vehicle did not stop immediately for officers and finally came to a complete stop in the area of 173 Washington Street.
Officers requested the operator’s license and registration and observed him to be visibly shaking.
The operator asked officers for his citation so he could leave.
At this time, officers requested the operator to exit the vehicle, to which he refused.
After multiple attempts, the officers were able to remove the operator from the vehicle to conduct a pat frisk.
After further investigation, officers recovered a firearm from inside the vehicle.
The firearm was later determined to be a stolen Glock 23 with a laser sight attachment and twenty-one rounds in an extended magazine.
Porter was placed under arrest and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, and receiving stolen property.
He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
