SOMERVILLE — A string of criminal incidents has kept the Somerville Police Department busy, beginning with an armed robbery at a local business in Assembly Row on May 4.
At around 8:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of shoplifting.
The victim, an employee of the store, reported that a male and female suspect were stealing items when he confronted them.
The male suspect then pulled a knife on the employee.
In a separate incident, on May 6 at about 8:05 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Broadway and Temple Street following reports of a fight stemming from a traffic dispute.
The victim stated he was punched in the face by another male driver during the altercation.
Officers have identified the suspect involved.
The following day, May 7, police received a call at approximately 6:33 a.m. about a commercial breaking and entering on Bow Street.
An employee discovered that cash had been stolen from the cash drawers upon arriving at work.
Beyond these incidents, the police department is investigating several other crimes reported in the area, including three acts of vandalism, one car break-in, one motor vehicle vandalism, three motor vehicle thefts, three package thefts, and two bicycle thefts.
The Somerville Police Department is seeking information from the public and urges anyone with knowledge of these crimes to come forward.
