SEARSBURG — Vermont State Police arrested a Whitingham man early on May 6 after finding him slumped over the wheel of a running vehicle at a major intersection.
Troopers discovered Jeff Waldron, 33, behind the wheel with the engine running and lights on at the intersection of Vermont Route 8 and Vermont Route 9 in Searsburg.
Upon checking on Waldron, they observed signs of impairment and learned he had a criminally suspended license.
Waldron was taken into custody under suspicion of DUI and Criminal DLS and was processed at the Wilmington Police Department.
He was released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on May 20 at 8:15 a.m. to respond to the charges.
