OXFORD — Following a lengthy investigation, the Oxford Police Department Detective Bureau, in collaboration with the Southbridge Police Department, has arrested 39-year-old Stephen Plante on charges of possession of child pornography.
The investigation began with a cyber tip and led to the execution of a search warrant at Plante’s residence at 20 Forest Street.
The search resulted in Plante being charged with possession of child pornography.
Plante was arraigned in Dudley District Court on April 16 and was subsequently released on bail.
Authorities have indicated that this incident is isolated and there is no immediate danger to the public.
