UXBRIDGE — A car fire on 146 North caused significant traffic delays earlier today as emergency crews from the Uxbridge Police Department and Uxbridge Fire Department responded to the incident.
The blaze, which was reported in the morning, led to traffic being reduced to one lane, forcing commuters to seek alternate routes.
Officials urged drivers to avoid the area to allow emergency services to manage the situation.
After extinguishing the fire, authorities were able to reopen all lanes by 2:35 p.m. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and there have been no immediate reports of injuries.
Motorists are advised to remain cautious while traveling through the area as crews may still be present ensuring the safety and clearance of the roadway.
