BERLIN — A Burlington man was arrested late Tuesday night on suspicion of driving under the influence after failing to maintain his lane on Interstate 89, according to the state police.
Troopers from the Berlin Barracks were dispatched at 9:56 p.m. following reports of a vehicle driving erratically and below the speed limit southbound on Interstate 89.
The vehicle was described, and its registration plate was reported.
Upon locating the vehicle near exit 6, troopers confirmed the registration matched the one provided.
A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, identified as 40-year-old Zachary Cook from Burlington, was taken into custody.
Cook was transported to the Berlin State Police Barracks for processing.
He was later released with a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on charges of DUI refusal.
