ORLEANS — A Montreal woman led Vermont State Police on a high-speed chase Monday afternoon before being apprehended near Derby.
At about 4:15 p.m., a trooper from the Derby Barracks clocked a Subaru Impreza traveling at 95 mph in a 65 mph zone on the northbound side of I-91 in Orleans.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Mangling Guo, failed to pull over when the trooper activated lights and siren, resulting in a pursuit.
Guo continued to evade the trooper for roughly 8 miles before finally stopping near mile marker 172 in Derby.
Guo was arrested on suspicion of criminal speeding and eluding a police officer.
After being processed at the VSP Derby Barracks, she was released with a citation to appear in court.
