WALTHAM — Waltham Police Department announced with relief Monday that 80-year-old Robert Saunders, who had been missing since April 22, has been located and is safe.
Saunders was reported missing from the area of Trapelo Road and Smith Street.
Described as 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build, white hair, a white mustache, and hazel eyes, he was last seen wearing khaki pants, white sneakers, and possibly a white baseball hat.
Authorities were particularly concerned due to Saunders’ memory issues, although he is known to be able to move about and function within the community.
The circumstances of how Saunders was found have not been released, but the police have thanked the community for their assistance and support during the search.
