SALEM — Police in Salem are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stole clothing from Macy’s and fled when confronted by loss prevention officers.
The incident, which was highlighted on the department’s “Wanted Wednesday” social media post, involved the suspect lifting his head just long enough for store cameras to capture a glimpse of his face.
Despite the suspect discarding the stolen merchandise during the pursuit, the Salem Police Department emphasized that taking or concealing items without payment is still a criminal offense.
They are keen on discussing the incident with the individual.
