HADDAM — Connecticut State Police are searching for the driver of a black Toyota Highlander involved in a hit-and-run accident that injured a 14-year-old pedestrian on Saturday, April 20.
Troopers from Troop F Westbrook were dispatched to the area of Jackson Rd at approximately 12:13 p.m. after receiving reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
The vehicle in question allegedly fled the scene, heading northwest towards Little City Rd.
Upon arrival, the authorities found the juvenile with suspected minor injuries.
The teen was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and medical care.
A photo released by the police, taken shortly after the incident on Little City Rd, shows the possible suspect vehicle.
The car is described as a black Toyota Highlander, with model years ranging from 2014 to 2019.
The Connecticut State Police are urging anyone who may have information or video footage that could assist in identifying the suspect to contact Trooper Rennie, badge number 441, at the Troop F Barracks.
