BOSTON — Boston Police Department officers arrested a man on charges of fentanyl trafficking in the Dorchester neighborhood during a midday raid on Monday.
At about 12:15 p.m., on April 22, members of the Drug Control Units apprehended Axel Aguasvivas-Martinez, 30, of Dorchester, amid an ongoing drug investigation that included the execution of search warrants at 85 Esmond Street.
The operation led to the seizure of several plastic bags containing approximately 70 grams of fentanyl, $6,483 in U.S. currency, and a digital scale, according to police reports.
Aguasvivas-Martinez now faces charges related to the trafficking of class A substances and is slated for arraignment in Dorchester District Court.
The arrest marks a significant step in local law enforcement efforts to combat the opioid crisis and disrupt illegal drug distribution networks.
