FRANKLIN — A Franklin Police Department officer is being commended for their quick action after stopping a wrong-way driver from entering Interstate 495, potentially preventing a serious accident.
The incident occurred when an evening shift officer observed a vehicle driving up the 495 South off-ramp from Route 140.
The officer stopped the vehicle halfway up the ramp and conducted an investigation.
