ST. JOHNSBURY — Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks arrested a 35-year-old man for unlawful trespass, violation of conditions of release, providing false information to law enforcement, and an outstanding warrant after responding to a complaint on April 18.
Keith Lapierre, a resident of Peacham and St. Johnsbury, was apprehended after allegedly trespassing at the Mt. Pleasant Trailer Park on Avenue A and fleeing into a wooded area when confronted.
According to authorities, Lapierre attempted to mislead officers by identifying himself with a false name.
Police also determined that Lapierre was in breach of two conditions of his release orders and had a warrant out for his arrest.
After being located and taken into custody, Lapierre was processed at the St. Johnsbury Barracks.
The victim, Misty Marchbanks, 30, of St. Johnsbury, reported the initial trespassing incident.
Following his arrest, Lapierre was turned over to the Department of Corrections and is currently being held at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.
