BOSTON — The Boston Police Department has refreshed its list of most wanted individuals and is seeking assistance from the public to track down these suspects.
The update, announced on April 17, encourages people with any information to contact CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or to send a text with the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
The department emphasizes that tips are entirely anonymous, focusing solely on the information provided and not on the identity of the person giving it.
Both calls and texts to CrimeStoppers are received by officers and trained personnel, who then convey the information to the relevant investigators.
In addition to phone tips, photos and videos of potential suspects can be submitted through an app available at https://police.boston.gov/crime-stoppers-text-a-tip/.
This platform offers another layer of anonymity for those wishing to help without revealing their identity.
The Boston Police Department assures the public that all information is confidential, and their primary interest is in the tips provided.
They also remind that the status of individuals on the most wanted list is subject to change, as some may have already been apprehended.
The public is urged to verify outstanding warrants before any police action is taken, and to rely on the most current information provided by the department.
