WORCESTER — A Worcester Police Department officer arrested a man on April 13 after recognizing him from surveillance footage as the suspect in an early morning robbery of a 7 Eleven store on Main Street.
At approximately 3:50 a.m., officers responded to a holdup alarm at the convenience store.
The suspect, later identified as 47-year-old Keith Glover of Worcester, had reached over the counter, stealing cash from the register and struggling briefly with the cashier before fleeing on foot and escaping in a vehicle.
Later, around 11:45 a.m., the same officer, while working an off-duty assignment in the Main Street area, spotted Glover, recognizing him from the earlier surveillance video.
Upon being approached by the officer, Glover attempted to flee but was apprehended after a short chase.
Glover is now facing charges of unarmed robbery as a result of the incident.
