AUGUSTA — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of a dark-colored vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of State and Union Streets on April 9.
According to the Augusta Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. The operator of the vehicle left the scene without making contact with the other party involved or with the police.
Officer Webster is leading the investigation and urges anyone who was involved or may have witnessed the accident to come forward with information that could aid in identifying the driver responsible for the collision.
