NORTH HAMPTON — Firefighters from North Hampton Fire & Rescue quickly contained a vehicle fire on Tuesday at 115 Atlantic Avenue after responding to a call at 2:32 p.m.
Engine 2, Car 1, and Tank 3 were dispatched to the scene where they found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
North Hampton Police Department officers assisted with traffic control, shutting down a portion of Route 111 to ensure the safety of the emergency crews.
The road closure allowed for the strategic placement of firefighting apparatus and provided firefighters the space needed to safely extinguish the blaze.
The fire was successfully put out, and no injuries were reported.
Route 111 was reopened to traffic once the area was deemed safe and the vehicle was removed.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
