Motorcyclist killed in Bow crash with box truck

BOW — A motorcycle collided with a box truck Tuesday morning, resulting in a fatal crash and subsequent fire at a Bow intersection, police said.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Rt. 3a and Robinson Road.

The motorcycle, heading south on Rt. 3a, struck the passenger side of the box truck as it was turning left onto Robinson Road.

The impact caused the box truck to catch fire, which was later extinguished by the Bow Fire Department.

The motorcycle operator, 22-year-old Carson Hardy of Concord, was pronounced dead at the scene by Hooksett Fire Department personnel.

The box truck operator, 65-year-old Bryan Floyd of Bow, was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation, Bow Police Chief Ken Miller said.

Multiple agencies, including the Hooksett Police and Fire Departments, Dunbarton Police Department, New Hampshire State Police, New Hampshire D.O.T., and the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit, assisted at the scene.

The New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the exact cause of death.
