BEVERLY — A man was arrested Sunday evening after a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian, according to the Beverly Police Department.
Diego Mattos-Vazualdo, 47, of Essex, faces charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
The pedestrian, whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained injuries.
The current condition of the pedestrian is also unknown.
Mattos-Vazualdo is expected to be arraigned in court, but the date and time of the arraignment have not been announced.
