HAMDEN — Multiple emergency response teams from the Hamden Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to a significant motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Whitney Avenue and Colonial Drive around 3 p.m. yesterday
The collision resulted in injuries, prompting authorities to temporarily shut down Whitney Avenue to manage the situation and investigate the cause of the incident.
Two ambulances were immediately called to the scene, indicating that there might be multiple individuals requiring medical attention.
Tow trucks have also been ordered to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the roadway.
The extent of the injuries and the number of people involved have not yet been disclosed.
