NEWBURY — A local man was taken into custody after allegedly impeding an investigation and resisting arrest on April 2, state police said.
Cecil Sweat, 61, of Newbury, interfered with troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks during their investigation at a residence on Swamp Road at around noon, according to authorities.
Sweat was subsequently arrested and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
He has been cited to appear in Orange County Criminal Court on June 19 at 8:30 a.m.
