SPRINGFIELD — A local man was apprehended by police Wednesday morning on an active arrest warrant, authorities said.
Brandon Heist was taken into custody around 8:04 a.m. after being spotted outside a Park Street residence, according to the Springfield Police Department.
Heist reportedly tried to conceal himself on the porch when he noticed officers in the vicinity.
Ofc. Singleton and Ofc. Guzzo, the investigating officers, stated that the arrest was executed without any issues.
Following the arrest, Heist was processed at the police department and later transferred to Windsor County Criminal Court by the Windsor County Sheriff’s Office.
The Springfield Police Department acknowledged the support of the sheriff’s office in the successful apprehension and transport of Heist to face charges.
