CORNWALL — Vermont State Police responded to a report of threatening behavior on VT Route 30 yesterday at approximately 5:06 p.m.
According to the police, the investigation revealed that James W. Jannene, 72, of Cornwall, threatened a domestic partner with a deadly weapon.
Troopers from the New Haven Barracks arrested Jannene without incident.
Following his arrest, Jannene was processed at the New Haven Barracks.
He was subsequently released on conditions, including a citation to appear before the Vermont Superior Court – Addison Criminal Division at a future date.
The Vermont State Police has not released any details regarding the victim, adhering to policies that protect the identities of victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
The case remains under active investigation.
