BETHEL — A Royalton man was arrested late Thursday night on charges of driving under the influence for the third time and furnishing alcohol to a minor, Vermont State Police said.
At 10:40 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Rt. 107 in Bethel for a traffic violation.
The driver, identified as 30-year-old Tyler Garrant of Royalton, displayed several signs of impairment, according to authorities.
During the traffic stop, troopers discovered that Garrant had provided alcohol to a minor who was present in the vehicle.
Garrant was taken into custody and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.
Following the arrest, he was held at the Southern State Correctional Facility.
Garrant is scheduled to appear in court on April 9 at 8 a.m. to face the charges.
