DERBY — Vermont State Police were alerted to the theft of a firearm from a vehicle owned by 34-year-old Gerald Schartner of St. Johnsbury earlier this month.
The stolen weapon, a .45 caliber Glock 21, is black with multiple skulls adorning its surface.
The theft is believed to have occurred between March 8 and March 11, in an area between St. Johnsbury and Derby.
The firearm’s serial number is SHE460.
Authorities are urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Vermont State Police at (802) 334-8881.
